Serving an authentic taste of North Indian & Punjabi Cuisine. The Cumin restaurant has attained many awards from Best Newcomer to Best in The Midlands
Started by the Anand Family in 2007, it has quickly become a favourite with the locals. Brothers Sunny and Shelley have had a long and successful history of catering and brought their style catering to Nottingham in 1983. Since then they have worked to give their food the authentic taste of North India and their customers a wonderful family friendly dining experience.
The restaurant is set over two floors with the interiors inspired by 50-60s Bollywood. A fully stocked bar is available on both floors. The first floor offers more privacy from the road and is the ideal venue for private or corporate functions and comes with a full sound system. Our Bollywood theme is reflected in our golden, red, and grey colour scheme, adding an extra touch of glamour and elegance to your meal.
Our Food
The menu is unique with a focus on authentic flavours and fresh local produce. It has been carefully crafted by our talented chefs who carry the family’s recipes alongside with their expertise and passion for food to the table. Our signature dishes include the rich and flavourful Karahi Gosht and the aromatic Methi Murg, made with the finest ingredients and traditional cooking methods.
For our vegetarian guests, we have a wide variety of options, including our popular Chowk Ki Tikki Tava Aloo and Chole Bhature, as well as a specially curated vegan menu.
In addition to our delicious curries, we are proud to offer a range of biryanis and platters that feature regional flavours from across India. Whether you are in the mood for a spicy or a mild old Delhi butter chicken, we have something for everyone.

The Cumin has attained many awards over the years from Best Newcomer to the Best in Midlands by Pat Chapman and the Cobra Guide for 2013-14. It has also been shortlisted for the Best Curry awards 2014-15 and received 5 star Metro rating. Most recently it was ranked in the top 20 best Indian restaurant in the UK 2016by the customers of Open Table. In addition it has also been shortlisted for the British Curry Awards 2014, 2018 and 2019.
